About the Author

Dr. Carolyn Woodfork Richardson has remained true to her liberal arts foundation. She is an alumnus of two HBCUs: Howard University and Meharry Medical College. In additional to a pediatrician, she is a speaker, an author, a traveler, wife and mother. Her style of medical practice includes the Physician who made the physician: God - a philosophy her many patients and their parents appreciate. This collection of prayers is her prescription to heal the soul.
An eyewitness to the civil rights struggles during the sixties, Dr. Richardson has a deep concern for the future of her people. She collects literature about Black History, is a proud member of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in New York, and a Founding Sponsor of the Washington, D. C. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial.
A firm believer in both traditional and alternative medicine, Dr. Richardson often speaks about historical, motivational and healthcare issues. Carolyn lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and son.
